Action Alert: Tell Congress to Defend the EPA – Join Lisa Jackson in Standing Up for EPA’s Right to Regulate

February 11, 2011

Please contact your U.S. Representative and call the EPA offices to tell them both you support the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Lisa Jackson.  She is currently under great pressure and assault from Congressional Republicans.  Mid-week she faced a grilling, some of the Republicans questioning the science underpinning the EPA’s regulations.

Head of the EPA Lisa Jackson

Since the EPA fracking study is ongoing and greenhouse gas emission is a large part of the life-cycle of shale gas industrial process, our Representatives have to know that we stand with her.

Contact your US Representative and tell them; “Please stand up to attacks against the EPA’s authority and funding; we need the EPA to have more authority, especially to regulate greenhouse gasses and especially to regulate hydraulic fracturing impacts on water, air, and climate; and we need the EPA to have that authority right now. It is crucial that the EPA have more authority, not less.”

Then call the EPA Office of the Administrator to let them know you support Lisa Jackson: 202-564-4700

Time is of the essence and this should take only a few moments for concerned and active citizens.

This is an incorrect number, unless you have updated it. I called this weekend and it’s the number to the Catskill Mountain Keeper. Do you have a correct number to call?

Hi Erin. We also realized shortly after publishing the post that we had the wrong number. We have updated this phone number for the EPA just a few days ago. The one in the current posting should be the correct one. Thanks so much!
