Marcellus Outreach Butler and Concerned Citizens to Demand Rex Energy Reinstate Water Deliveries to Families with Contaminated Water in Woodlands area of Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, PA
(Butler County, Pennsylvania) – Marcellus Outreach Butler and concerned citizens will express their concerns for the families of the Woodlands area of Connoquenessing by collecting water donations at the Butler office of Rex Energy for the benefit of the Woodlands families. Rex Energy has informed the families they will no longer provide them with clean, safe water after February 29. Those gathered will seek to hold Rex Energy and their subsidiaries accountable for the loss of water caused by their drilling activities and the harm fracking inflicts on communities, as demonstrated by documented effects it has had on the families in the Woodlands area of Connoquenessing.
