Join 9 Rallies in PA on “Independence from Fracking Day” Thursday, July 11th
This Thursday, July 11th, our statewide coalition is holding at least nine rallies and two meetings urging Pennsylvania State Senators to follow the lead of their constituents in calling for a moratorium on unconventional gas drilling in shale — “fracking” — in the Commonwealth.
Update 1:40 PM Wednesday: Senator Dinniman has joined as a cosponsor for the moratorium bill! So the rally at his West Chester office will be a “thank you” rally rather than a protest rally.
Please join us on Independence from Fracking Day! For seven Talking Points for a fracking moratorium, look here. This action follows upon our delivery of over 100,000 petitions for a moratorium on April 30th of this year and our generation of over 1,000 phone calls on June 5th.
